Lender-Ready Credit Execution
Renewable Project Finance Credit Package for Infrastructure Sponsors
Financely turns renewable project financing needs near financial close into lender-ready credit files, then runs a competitive lender process aimed at signed terms. As a UK entity retained by the borrower, Financely packages the credit memo, DSCR/LLCR model, risk matrix, investment memorandum, data room and KYC/AML pack, issues a written Go/No-Go before any retainer, and stays lender-agnostic throughout distribution.
What lender-ready renewable credit execution means
Project lenders underwrite files, not pitch decks. Lender-ready renewable credit execution has two parts:
- Build a credit file that matches how infrastructure and project finance desks review risk, cash flow and covenants.
- Run a competitive lender process so the sponsor compares terms from a shortlist rather than chasing one relationship cold.
Financely does both as borrower-retained work. The goal is signed terms on a file lenders can actually credit-committee. Financely does not guarantee funding and does not sell lender introductions as a standalone product.

Who this page serves
This page is for developer and IPP sponsors (not EPC contractors) with solar, wind, storage or hybrid projects approaching financial close. Typical readiness signals:
- Land control or lease path documented
- Permitting status clear enough to date risk
- Offtake, merchant assumptions or contracted revenue case drafted
- Construction and equipment path documented from the sponsor side
- Equity plan sketched, even if not fully committed
- Need for senior or mezzanine project debt packaging as the infrastructure sponsor
If the project is still a concept slide with no site, no revenue logic and no sponsor capital plan, the right first step is usually more project work, not a lender process.
Deliverables in the credit file
Financely's renewable packaging centers on defined outputs. Scope lists what the retainer buys.
Credit memo and investment memorandum
The credit memo presents the transaction the way a credit committee reads it: borrower and sponsor, project overview, sources and uses, structure, security, key risks and mitigants, and the ask. The investment memorandum expands the commercial narrative for distribution without turning into marketing fluff. For a deeper look at memo standards, see lender-ready credit memo.
Financial model with DSCR and LLCR
Project debt lives or dies on coverage. The model covers construction and operations, debt draw and repayment, and coverage metrics lenders expect, including DSCR and LLCR. Assumptions sit transparent so a desk can stress them. Financely does not invent bankability; the model reflects the project's actual contracts, costs and revenue case.
Risk matrix, data room and KYC/AML pack
A risk matrix maps construction, offtake, resource, counterparty, political and completion risks to mitigants. The data room organizes permits, contracts, technical reports, financials and corporate documents so diligence does not stall on file hunting. The KYC/AML pack prepares sponsor and borrower identity materials lenders request before deep engagement. Infrastructure guarantee context sits on bank guarantee for infrastructure project financing.
Written Go/No-Go before the retainer
Before any fixed written fee, Financely issues a written Go/No-Go. The review answers a practical question: does this project have enough substance for a serious credit file and lender process right now?
A Go means the file can proceed with a clear scope. A No-Go names the gaps (for example missing offtake logic, incomplete permits path, or an equity story that cannot support the ask) so the sponsor knows what to fix first. That written gate protects both sides from paying for packaging that cannot clear a desk.
How the competitive lender process runs
Once the file is ready, Financely runs a competitive lender process on behalf of the borrower. Distribution is lender-agnostic: the shortlist follows fit for technology, ticket size, geography and structure, not a preferred-introducer list. The borrower retains Financely; lenders do not pay for the introduction. Process steps typically include:
- Target list built from mandate fit
- Controlled distribution of the IM and data room access
- Q&A management so every desk sees consistent answers
- Term comparison on pricing, tenor, covenants, security and conditions precedent
- Support through negotiation toward signed terms
Signed terms are the process target. Credit decisions stay with lenders.
Fee frame
Financely is retained by the borrower for a fixed written fee. Work starts after the written Go/No-Go and a signed scope. Financely is not an introducer paid by lenders. That alignment keeps the incentive on file quality and competitive process, not on pushing a single desk. Prefer fixed written fee language in all outreach; if a success fee applies in a given mandate, it is written before you commit.
Equipment-heavy scopes may also need equipment capex debt arrangement
alongside project debt.
Frequently asked questions
Does Financely guarantee renewable project funding?
No. Financely builds the credit file and runs a competitive lender process aimed at signed terms. Funding decisions belong to lenders after their own credit process.
What does a lender-ready renewable file include?
Typically a credit memo, financial model with DSCR and LLCR, risk matrix, investment memorandum, structured data room and KYC/AML pack, sized to the project's stage and structure.
When does the retainer start?
After a written Go/No-Go and a signed scope that states the fixed written fee and deliverables. No retainer before that gate.
Is Financely paid by lenders?
No. Financely is borrower-retained and lender-agnostic. Distribution serves the sponsor's competitive process, not a lender commission.
What if the project is not ready?
A written No-Go lists the gaps. The sponsor can return once permits, revenue logic, equity plan or other blockers move far enough for a credible file.
Does Financely operate as a UK entity?
Yes. Financely operates as a UK entity for this advisory work.
