A Credit Memo Written the Way Lenders Read Them
Financely prepares lender-grade credit memoranda for business borrowers. We turn your financials, collateral and transaction details into one clear credit story that a credit committee can assess without chasing you for basics.
Request a Free EstimateMost loan requests stall at the first read. The lender opens a pitch deck and a folder of statements, cannot find the repayment logic, and moves the file to the bottom of the pile.
A credit memo fixes that. It is the document a credit analyst would write internally to recommend your deal, prepared in advance by a team that has sat on the other side of the table. You go to lenders with the analysis already done, and the conversation starts at terms instead of questions.
What the credit memo covers
Written for credit committees, not for marketing
We do not dress up weak numbers. If the debt request is too large for the cash flow, or a risk has no mitigant, the memo process surfaces it before a lender does. That gives you the chance to resize, restructure or add support while the deal is still in your control.
How it works
Request an estimate
Send a short description of the borrower, the amount sought and the purpose. We review it and send a fixed scope, fee and delivery schedule.
Approve the engagement
Once the engagement is signed and paid, we send a document request list and work begins as soon as your file is complete.
Receive the credit memo
You receive the finished memo, a review call to walk through it, and one round of revisions to reflect lender feedback or updated figures.
Fixed fee, quoted per transaction
The fee depends on the facility size, the number of entities, the quality of your financial records and whether projections need to be built or only reviewed. It is a one-off fee paid upfront, with no success fee.
Need more than the memo? The Lender-Ready Package adds model review, collateral summary, KYC file, data room and a live lender appetite map for a fixed USD 7,500. For larger mandates, see our project finance deliverables and commodity finance deliverables.
Get your credit memo scoped
Tell us about the borrower, the facility and your timeline. We will come back with a fixed estimate covering scope, fee and delivery.

What is a credit memo?
A credit memo, or credit memorandum, is the analysis a lender uses to decide whether to approve a loan. It sets out the transaction, the borrower, the repayment capacity, the collateral and the key risks, and ends with a recommended structure.
Who is this service for?
Business borrowers raising senior debt, acquisition finance, real estate loans, trade facilities or private credit who want to present a complete credit case to lenders. It also suits sponsors and CFOs who do not have an in-house credit team.
Does a credit memo guarantee loan approval?
No. Every lender runs its own underwriting and makes its own decision. A well-prepared memo shortens review time and removes avoidable objections, but approval depends on the credit itself.
Do you introduce the memo to lenders?
Lender outreach and placement are not part of this service. If you want help matching the file to suitable lenders, ask about our AI Lender Match service.
