Project Finance Consulting Deliverables

Financely's project finance consulting gives sponsors and developers a defined set of deliverables that take a project from development to financial close. Each one answers a question a lender will ask before it commits.

This page lists what you receive, how the work runs and what sits outside our scope, so you know exactly what the engagement covers before you commit.

Our deliverables

Deliverable What you receive
Bankability assessment A written review of the project's revenue contracts, construction plan, permits, site and interconnection, sponsor equity and jurisdiction, with a clear view on what lenders will accept and what must be fixed first.
Recommended financing structure A structure memo covering the debt type, recourse level, gearing, tenor, reserve accounts and any credit enhancement or ECA and DFI participation, and why it fits the project.
Financial model review An independent review of your model's assumptions, debt sizing, coverage ratios and downside cases, with corrections lenders would otherwise raise in credit committee.
Risk allocation matrix A matrix showing how each construction, operating, revenue, supply, currency and political risk is allocated across contracts, insurance and sponsor support.
Project contract review Comments on the offtake or concession, EPC, O&M and supply agreements from a lender's perspective, before they are signed or finalised.
Information memorandum A lender-ready memorandum covering the project, sponsor, market, contracts, model outputs, risks and the financing request, in the format credit committees expect.
Data room An organised virtual data room with the technical, legal, financial and KYC documents lenders and their advisers will request.
Lender shortlist and outreach A targeted list of banks, infrastructure funds, private credit lenders and development finance institutions whose mandate fits your sector, size and country, followed by managed outreach from our network of more than 12,700 verified capital providers.
Term sheet comparison A side-by-side analysis of offers on pricing, gearing, tenor, covenants, reserves, sponsor support and conditions, with our recommendation.
Financial close support A conditions precedent tracker and coordination with lenders, legal counsel, technical and insurance advisers through to financial close and first drawdown.

How the engagement runs

1. Assess

Bankability assessment, recommended structure and contract review. You know early whether the project can raise debt and on what terms.

2. Package

Model review, risk matrix, information memorandum and data room, built to the standard described in our project finance underwriting memo guide.

3. Place

Lender shortlist, managed outreach and term sheet comparison across commercial and development lenders.

4. Close

Conditions precedent tracking and coordination of all parties, as set out in our project finance closing guide.

The engagement is priced as a one-off retainer, set out in writing before work begins. For the services behind these deliverables, see our project finance advisory page.

What is outside our scope

Financely is an advisor and arranger, not a lender or investor. We do not lend, invest equity, issue guarantees or hold client funds, and we cannot guarantee that a lender will approve a project. Technical, legal, environmental and insurance due diligence is carried out by independent specialist advisers, whom we coordinate. We do not take on projects without site control, a credible revenue plan or sponsor equity.

Frequently asked questions

A bankability assessment, a recommended financing structure, a review of the financial model, a risk allocation matrix, a review of key project contracts, a lender-ready information memorandum, a data room, a lender shortlist and outreach, term sheet comparison and support through financial close.

How is the engagement priced?

A one-off retainer, set out in writing in an estimate before work begins. There are no milestone payments.

Does Financely lend or invest in projects?

No. Financely is an advisory and arranging firm. We do not lend, invest equity or issue guarantees. Financing is provided by banks, funds and development finance institutions that make their own credit decisions.

At what stage should a project engage Financely?

Ideally before the offtake, EPC and equity plans are final, so the project can be shaped around what lenders need. We also work on projects that are ready to build and need to reach financial close.
