Trade Finance Consulting
Trade Finance Consulting
We structure and place trade facilities for operating companies and traders. The sequence is direct: structure the transaction, underwrite the risk, raise collateral with lenders where required, then run a term sheet auction with issuing banks. For capacity and risk, we add confirmation or a club or syndication. Execution is based on the applicant’s credit and documented controls.
Instruments We Arrange
Instrument | Use case | Why it works |
---|---|---|
UPAS Letter of Credit | Supplier paid at sight; applicant pays at tenor | Aligns cash in and cash out without prepayment |
Confirmed Letter of Credit | Buyer terms with confirmation from a second bank | Turns receivable into near cash at presentation or acceptance |
Standby LC or Advance Payment Guarantee | Performance or prepayment assurance | Comfort to counterpart while limiting open ended risk |
Receivables purchase or LC discounting | Early cash against invoices or accepted drafts | Funds the sell side and reduces working capital drag |
Inventory repo with collateral manager | Stock in port, bonded, or warehouse | Title control and daily reporting allow funded carry |
Forfaiting of accepted bills | Non recourse exit on trade paper | Removes counterparty risk and shortens cycle time |

Weeks 2–43) Auction and execute
