Policy Notice
Review Extortion And Coercive Payment Demands
Financely does not pay to remove reviews, complaints, posts, or threats. Any attempt to extract money, free services, discounts, or commercial concessions in exchange for deleting or withholding negative content is treated as a coercive act, documented internally, and escalated through the proper reporting and legal channels.
From time to time, businesses are targeted by individuals who attempt to weaponize review platforms, email, messaging apps, or social media in order to pressure them into making payments or providing services for no legitimate commercial reason. That conduct is not a customer service issue. It is not ordinary feedback. It is an abuse of platform mechanisms and, in serious cases, may amount to extortion, blackmail, harassment, fraud, defamation, malicious falsehood, unlawful interference with business, or other actionable misconduct depending on the facts and the jurisdiction.
Public Notice.
If any person contacts Financely demanding money, free work, discounted services, or any other benefit in exchange for deleting, editing, withholding, or refraining from posting negative reviews, complaints, videos, messages, or other content, that communication will be preserved and may be disclosed to platform operators, legal counsel, law enforcement, regulators, payment providers, domain hosts, telecom providers, or other relevant authorities and counterparties where appropriate.
What We Preserve
Identity And Contact Data
We may preserve names used, aliases, email addresses, phone numbers, wallet addresses, usernames, profile handles, profile URLs, business names, websites, and any representations made about identity or authority.
Message Evidence
We preserve emails, chat logs, direct messages, voicemail, screenshots, screen recordings, file attachments, timestamps, headers, and records of demands tied to money, free services, or commercial concessions.
Technical And Transaction Records
Where available and lawfully accessible, we may preserve IP-related logs, form submissions, device/browser data, referral paths, account activity, payment instructions, wallet data, and transaction references connected to the conduct.
Publication Trail
We preserve copies of published reviews, edits, deletions, reposts, coordinated posts across multiple platforms, and any pattern showing that the content was tied to a demand rather than a genuine customer experience.
How Financely Responds
| Action Area |
Response |
| Evidence Preservation |
We retain the full communication record and preserve the publication trail before engaging further. |
| Platform Escalation |
We report extortion-linked reviews, impersonation, fake engagement, and coordinated abuse to the relevant platform or host. |
| Legal Review |
We may refer the matter to counsel to assess civil claims, injunctive relief, disclosure requests, and recovery options. |
| Criminal Referral |
Where the conduct crosses the line into criminal coercion, fraud, blackmail, harassment, or related offences, we may file reports with the appropriate authorities. |
| Third-Party Notifications |
Where justified, we may notify payment processors, platforms, hosting providers, telecom providers, or other intermediaries involved in the abusive conduct. |
What This Is Not
Financely respects genuine customer feedback, including strong criticism where it is honest and grounded in a real commercial interaction. This notice is not aimed at legitimate reviewers. It is aimed at coercive demands, fake complaints used as leverage, impersonation, fabricated allegations, coordinated smear attempts, and any attempt to force payment or free services by threatening reputational harm.
Position On Demands For Payment
Financely will not enter into side deals with people who attempt to convert a review, post, complaint, or public accusation into a payment event. We do not buy silence. We do not pay “removal fees.” We do not provide free consulting, free structuring work, free term sheets, free underwriting, free introductions, or discounted mandates in exchange for review deletion or reputational quiet. Any such demand only strengthens the evidentiary record against the sender.
Formal Notice To Anyone Engaging In This Conduct
If you are using a review platform, direct message, email, voice note, phone call, anonymous profile, intermediary, or affiliate account to pressure Financely into paying money or providing services in order to delete, alter, suppress, or avoid negative content, stop. Preserve your own records. Do not assume anonymity, cross-border distance, throwaway accounts, or deleted messages will protect you. Platforms maintain records. Service providers maintain records. Payment rails maintain records. Telecom providers maintain records. Courts can compel disclosure. Your conduct may create civil exposure even where you believed you were “just negotiating.”
No Waiver Of Rights.
Financely reserves all rights and remedies. Silence, delay, attempted de-escalation, or refusal to engage publicly should never be interpreted as consent, weakness, lack of evidence, or waiver of claims.
What To Do If You Receive Such A Demand
If you are a client, partner, introducer, contractor, or service provider interacting with our business and you receive a message from anyone trying to leverage a review, post, or complaint to obtain money or free work from Financely, do not negotiate. Forward the full record to us and preserve the original files, timestamps, and context.
