Documentary Collections CAD/DP/DA Execution Services

Bottom line: we run clean CAD, DP, and DA collections under URC 522 with partner banks. Documents are held. Release only happens when the buyer pays (CAD/DP) or accepts a draft (DA). If your current bank will not process collections, we can coordinate the remitting and collecting route subject to KYC and sanctions.

Check Eligibility

Answer a few quick questions. We will tell you if we can run your collection and what route fits.

Step 1 of 12

How Execution Works

  1. Mandate & KYC. We onboard the exporter or importer and confirm route with partner banks.
  2. Document Check. Commercial invoice, packing list, transport document, insurance if required, and any certificates.
  3. Remitting Bank. We arrange remitting bank dispatch to the collecting bank with URC 522 collection instruction.
  4. Buyer Notification. Collecting bank advises buyer. For CAD/DP, payment is required before release. For DA, time draft acceptance is required.
  5. Release & Remittance. On payment or acceptance, documents release. Funds are remitted less bank fees.

What We Cover

  • Route mapping for CAD/DP/DA under URC 522

  • SWIFT instructions MT400–MT499
  • Document examination and discrepancy advisories
  • Courier and chain-of-custody management
  • Sanctions and dual-use screening
  • Tracing, reminders, and protest instructions (DA)
  • Collections reporting and reconciliation
  • Fallback advice: move to LC when buyer risk is weak

Fees (Indicative)

Item Range Notes
Setup & Routing USD 350–850 KYC, routing, instruction prep
Collection Handling 0.15%–0.35% (min USD 400) Per presentation
SWIFT & Tracer USD 35–125 per event MT4xx, tracer messages

Fees vary by corridor, bank tariff, and urgency. Buyer bank may charge local fees on the DA/DP side.

When Collections Are Not Enough

If the buyer’s payment record is thin or their bank is slow, CAD/DP/DA may not protect you. In that case, we recommend moving to a letter of credit with confirmation or a UPAS structure. We will tell you early if that is the right call.

Ready To Run Your Collection

Send your draft invoice, transport plan, and buyer details. We will confirm route and fees.

FAQ

Do I need to be a client of the remitting bank
No. We can route through partner banks subject to onboarding, KYC, and sanctions checks.
What is the difference between DP and DA
DP releases documents only after payment. DA releases after acceptance of a time draft for payment at a set date.
Can you accept CAD while my new bank account is pending
Yes. We can coordinate routing during account opening, then switch to your own bank later.

Services are for corporate clients. All transactions are subject to KYC/AML, sanctions, country limits, and partner bank policies. Nothing here is a commitment to handle a collection until onboarding is complete.
