Commodity Supplier Due Diligence Report Service

In commodities, “supplier due diligence” is not a courtesy step. It is the transaction. If a supplier cannot evidence identity, authority, operational capability, and control over the product and logistics pathway, you are not negotiating terms. You are buying risk.

Financely provides supplier due diligence for commodity transactions across oil and gas, agro commodities, and metals. You receive a written, decision-grade report that separates verifiable facts from unverified claims, highlights red flags, and provides a clear evidence checklist before you commit funds, issue instruments, or disclose sensitive documentation.

This service is designed for buyers, traders, and end-users who want one outcome: a defensible decision. If the supplier is credible, you will know what to request and how to structure controls. If the supplier is not credible, you will know why, in writing.

FAQ

What do you need from us to start?

The supplier offer, counterparty details, signatory details, proposed Incoterms, target volumes, delivery window, and any draft contract language or term sheets. Include any buyer requirements if you have them.

Can you guarantee the supplier will perform?

No. Due diligence reduces risk. It does not eliminate risk. We provide an evidence-based assessment and specify what must be evidenced to proceed safely.

What is a short red flag checklist?

  • Authority changes repeatedly or the principal is never clearly identified
  • Urgent advance payment demands without a defensible control structure
  • Documents contradict each other or do not match the proposed workflow
  • Supply control is claimed but not evidenced by any credible pathway
  • Secrecy requirements that prevent counsel review or normal diligence

If two or more apply, treat the situation as high-risk until proven otherwise by documentary evidence.

Do you provide legal advice or legal opinions?

No. Where legal opinions are required, we can coordinate third-party legal support through qualified law firms under separate engagement terms.
